Mozilla Firefox vs. The Chrome vs. Firefox debate has been going on for years. Both browsers are strong contenders, and choosing one clear winner isn't easy. While Chrome is faster and offers a range of browser add-ons and extensions, Firefox focuses on user privacy, with built-in features that protect it by default.

In November 2021, Mozilla made Firefox available on Microsoft Store. The Store-distributed package does not interfere with the traditional installation. Most recently, Mozilla ended support for Windows 7 and 8 in Firefox 116, with those users being supported on the Firefox 115 ESR branch until late 2024.

Anti-phishing and malware protection The built-in features protect you from deceptive sites, attack sites, malware, and other unwanted software. These features are enabled by default and are found in Settings > Privacy & Security > Security.
